This Strategic Innovation Investment Agenda (SIIA) shows what the East Netherlands has to offer. The SIIA was created in close collaboration between the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel, the development company Oost NL and the regional economic network, Th!nk East Netherlands and the Economic Boards.

We want to invest particularly in digitalisation and are looking for partners to do so. In this document, we show where our focuses lie. Then, together with you, we would like to discuss which programmes contribute most to economic growth and a sustainable future.

The digital transition is rapidly changing our economy and society. The awareness of the importance of digitisation in all economic sectors has become very clear. New knowledge and skills are needed to tackle digital challenges in healthcare and the energy transition, as well as in the areas of food and security.

The East Netherlands offers solutions to these challenges. We invest in data-driven knowledge and innovation, which is crucial for a sustainable recovery of our economy and for simultaneously tackling both the green and digital transitions during and after the corona era.

Besides developing new digital technologies and services, we invest in the application of existing digitisation concepts and solutions by our small and medium-sized enterprises.

These Strategic Innovation Investment Agendas East Netherlands are an initiative that is partly the result of the cooperation with the partners within Th!Nk East Netherlands and the regional Economic Boards.
